Data Management

Learn about Netcore's data security and data retention policies.

Data Retention

The data retention policy in Netcore automatically deletes lists and segments not used in campaigns, journeys, segmentation, or analysis for 60 consecutive days. This enhances the platform's efficiency by focusing resources on active data and improving overall performance.

Starting from January 15th, 2023, Netcore has begun removing inactive lists and segments. If you need to continue targeting inactive audiences in the future, you can recreate these lists or segments as required. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us at [email protected].

Refer to the table below to understand Netcore CE's data retention policy.

Important Points to Remember

This affects the following areas:

  1. Reports data for campaigns older than the defined retention limit will not be available.

  2. Segmentation will not work for data older than the defined retention limit.

  3. Analytics will not be available for data older than the defined retention limit.

Note that the old data once removed, cannot be retrieved.

Data Encryption

Netcore CE has encryption protocols to protect data in transit and at rest.

Data in Transit

Data in transit refers to data actively moving from one location to another (for example, from a user's device to Netcore's servers).

  • To secure this data, Netcore uses the HTTPS/TLS v1.2 encryption protocol.
  • All data pushed to Netcore (via API, JavaScript, or SDK) is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS v1.2. This encryption ensures that the data remains confidential and tamper-proof during transmission.

Data at Rest

Data at rest refers to data stored on Netcore's servers. Netcore offers an additional paid feature for encrypting data at rest using the CBC 256 AES encryption protocol. This level of encryption ensures that data stored within the database is secure and protected from unauthorized access.

📘

Key Security Points

  • Standard Security: All data in transit is automatically encrypted.
  • Enhanced Security: Optional encryption for stored data is available as a paid feature.
