Overview
Instagram Custom Audiences allow you to create targeted contact lists for Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns from your existing database. Netcore CE helps you create Custom Audiences from existing segments, which can be used for advertising on both platforms. Netcore CE allows you to create targeted contact lists for Facebook Ad campaigns using Custom Audiences. You can also use these Custom Audiences for Instagram ads by linking your Instagram account to Facebook Ad Manager. This document outlines how to link Instagram to Facebook Ads Manager and explains how to use Facebook Custom Audiences for both Facebook and Instagram advertising.
Link Instagram to Facebook Ads Manager
To run ads on Instagram using Facebook Ads Manager, you need to link your Instagram account. Follow these steps:
- Navigate to Facebook Business and log in with your Facebook credentials.
- Select the Ad Account you want to use.
- In Ads Manager, select Menu > Settings > Instagram accounts.
- Select Add an Account to link your Instagram account.
- Choose to connect an existing Instagram account or create a new one.
- Enter your Instagram login credentials to complete the connection.
- Verify the Connection between your Instagram account and Facebook Ads Manager. To do so, navigate to Ad Accounts in Business Manager and select your account. Select Instagram Accounts and check that your account is listed and connected.
Using Facebook Custom Audiences for Facebook and Instagram
Netcore CE's Facebook Custom Audience now supports advertising on both Facebook and Instagram platforms. Follow the steps below to Create a Custom Audience in Netcore CE.
Create a Custom Audience in CE
Follow these steps to create a Custom Audience in CE:
- Navigate to Audience > Facebook custom audience and click Create New .
- Provide a relevant name for your custom audience in the Custom Audience Name field.
- Select the segment from the segment drop-down list to create the custom audience.
- Select the account to which this custom audience context belongs from the Ad Account drop-down list.
- Click Save. The CA is created and displayed in the Facebook Custom Audience Dashboard.
Sync the Custom Audience
- Enable Auto Sync to update your Custom Audience with the latest segment data.
- Alternatively, use the Sync Now option for manual updates.
Status of Custom Audiences
Monitor the status of your Custom Audience. You can view the same in Netcore CE dashboard's Facebook Custom Audience dashboard:
Ready: The audience is available for use in ad campaigns.
In Progress: The audience is being created or updated.
Low Audience: The audience size is below Facebook's minimum threshold.
Failed: The audience creation or update was unsuccessful.
Important Notes
- Ensure you have accepted the Terms of Service for your Facebook Ad Account.
- You can add only one Facebook account in the Netcore CE dashboard.
- Multiple Ad accounts associated with the added Facebook account can be mapped.
- Custom Audiences created in Netcore CE can be used for both Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
