Harvest Error
Maintain high-quality email lists with harvest error feature.
Overview
The Harvest Error feature in the Netcore Email channel ensures the authenticity and integrity of your email data. When a client uploads user data to the Netcore CE dashboard, our algorithm checks each email ID to confirm it is not spam-prone. This process includes filtering out Foreign IDs, Invalid IDs, spam traps, Group IDs, and parked domains/IDs. By doing so, we help maintain the quality and reputation of your email lists, ensuring better deliverability and engagement rates.
Netcore's advanced algorithm scans each email ID in the uploaded list. The table below lists the included checks.
ID Type | Description |
---|---|
Foreign IDs | Identifies and filters out email IDs irrelevant to your target audience. |
Invalid IDs | Removes email addresses that do not conform to standard email formatting rules. |
Spam Traps | Detects and eliminates known spam trap email addresses. |
Group IDs | Filters out email addresses associated with groups or bulk email lists that can harm deliverability. |
Parked Domains/IDs | Identifies and removes email addresses associated with parked or inactive domains. |

Harvest Error Workflow
-
Uploading User Data: The Harvest Error check is automatically triggered when you upload user data to the Netcore CE dashboard.
-
Domain Reputation Check
In addition to checking individual email IDs, the algorithm analyzes the reputation of the domains associated with the email addresses. If a domain's reputation falls below a certain threshold, the entire upload may be flagged as a harvest error. -
Harvest Error Flagging
Email IDs that are identified as harvest-prone, such as [email protected] or [email protected], are flagged and excluded from your email list to prevent potential issues.
Using Harvest Errors
- Reviewing Errors
You can review the list of flagged email addresses in the Netcore dashboard. This allows you to understand which emails were filtered out and why. - Cleaning Your List
Based on the review, you can take the necessary actions to clean your email list further. This might include contacting users to confirm their email addresses or permanently removing flagged addresses. - Re-uploading Data
Once your email list is cleaned and free from harvest errors, you can re-upload the data to the Netcore CE dashboard for further use in your email campaigns.
Best Practices
- Regularly Update Your Lists: Ensure your email lists are updated to remove inactive or invalid email addresses.
- Use Double Opt-In: Implementing a double opt-in process can help confirm the validity of email addresses at the point of collection.
- Monitor Bounce Rates: Keep an eye on your email campaign bounce rates and take action if you notice any spikes, which could indicate issues with your email list quality.
- Engage with Your Audience: Regular engagement with your audience can help keep your email list active and responsive, reducing the chances of having outdated or invalid email addresses.
Utilizing the Harvest Error feature, you can maintain high-quality email lists, ensuring better performance and deliverability for your email marketing campaigns.
