FAQs- Maker Checker
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with Maker Checker functionality.
Q. What is Maker-Checker and why use it?
A. Maker-Checker adds a review and approval layer to campaign creation. It reduces errors and supports compliance. It works across Email, SMS, App Push, WhatsApp, and Web Push.
Q. How do I enable Maker-Checker?
A. This feature is available to all users by default. Admins can assign the Maker or Checker role to your teammates from the Netcore CE dashboard.
Q. Who can assign Maker and Checker roles, and where?
A. Only Admins can assign these roles. Navigate to the Roles screen, create or select a role, and assign Maker or Checker capabilities to users.
Q. What does a Maker do?
A. A Maker creates campaigns, edits content, audience, and schedule, and submits them for approval. Makers can track status and duplicate campaigns as templates.
Q. What does a Checker do?
A. A Checker reviews submissions and approves or rejects them (with a mandatory reason when rejecting). Checkers have view access across modules to verify details.
Q. Who gets what email notifications?
A. When a Maker submits a campaign, the Checker gets an email. When the Checker approves or rejects, the Maker gets an email with the decision and reason (if rejected).
Q. Can a Maker choose a specific Checker?
A. Yes. The Maker selects the approver at submission time. Checkers can view only the items assigned to them.
Q. Where do I see items waiting for approval?
A. Open the Pending review section to see campaigns sent for approval.
Q. What happens if a Maker edits a sent campaign?
A. Its status changes based on the Checker’s action (draft, pending review, approved, or rejected). Metrics reflect after the approved campaign is published again.
Q. What can users without Maker/Checker roles do?
A. They can view campaigns and statuses. Based on their assigned role and permissions, they may also take allowed actions on campaigns.
Q. Can a Maker assign a campaign to more than one Checker?
A. Yes. A Maker can assign multiple Checkers to a campaign.
Q. What is the process for recalling a campaign that has already been submitted for approval?
A. There is no recall option. The Maker must contact the Checker and request them to reject the campaign.
Q. Can a single user be assigned both Maker and Checker roles?
A. Yes. But the higher role takes precedence. If a user has both roles, they will not be able to perform Maker actions.
